Hi All,
I have a strange behavior with the Mimi Ultra Pro v3 when operating with a battery. The device sends 10 bytes of data every 30 seconds on my private LoRa network and then goes to sleep. Starting from a full capacity ER14505 2400mAH, 3.6v battery it sent well over 30,000 uplink messages. The battery level was 3.52v and it froze. A power reset and then it started working again.
Then it happened again when the battery was at 3.39v, this time a power reset didn’t solve the issue, the device would no longer send any data or freeze while sending it.
What I mean by “freeze” is that I turn the LED ON just before performing the LMIC send. Then turned the LED OFF after the device gets a TX_COMPLETE from LMIC and before it goes back to standby mode.
I am thinking, it is possible there not enough power drawn from the battery for sending the data over and maybe the LMIC send is just locking up. I replaced the battery with a new one and it’s working again as expected.
The interesting part, is that I measured the battery voltage with my multimeter and it shows 3.65v which doesn’t makes sense at all, given the reported value was 3.39v before I took the battery out.
Has anyone seen this, or experienced the same behavior?
Amir.
